Okay! So it's almost time to leave, and I should totally be asleep but the way I see it, I'm about to have about 24 hours out of the next two days to sleep on airplanes so why not stay up a little late? That and I think I'm probably a little to excited for sleep at this point :-D

Your prayers will be much appriciated as we are traveling. Pray for the airport security, the plane pilots, our luggage handlers, and our team members endurance during the longer flights.
Upon arriving in Cape Town we will go directly to the team house where we will have all day Wed. to recuperate and possibly buy the supplies necessary for the upcoming weeks. We will also be briefed in greater detail of the types of work we can expect to encounter. As of now our first two weeks will be spend running VBSs, using the material we've been learning this last month, through ACTS [African Christian Tours and Safaris] in the morning we will meet with the younger children and in the afternoon the older kids.
Our second two weeks are a little more vague as far as we know our mornings will be spent doing various light service projects and other volunteer work as needed and our afternoons will be spent running after school programs for the students as their summer vacation will be ending and they will be back in school for the majority of the day.
Please pray that all of the VBS programs will run smoothly and that God will be able to use our lessons to change the hearts of the children listening. Also pray that our team will be flexible and that the schedule for the second two weeks will fall gently into place and that God will be able to use our team to further his kingdom however that may take place. Finally pray for the health and well being of each member of our team. We are a small group and will be working as a unit each playing a vital role, so pray that God will wrap us in his protection from head to foot so that we may best work to serve while in Cape Town.
Don't forget to continue checking this blog for further periodic updates. :-)
Thanks you for all your prayers and God Bless!
In his TLC,
Ronnie
